Basket Case

We are just wrapping up the end of a 6-day visit with a stomach bug, which at times left me feeling like a basket case. Don't worry, there are no pictures posted of sick children or adults. We lost any sense of humor during this time and didn't think to document are first fight with the flu.

However, I did find some funny pictures of the ladies playing with a laundry basket. I guess we are getting some good mileage out of this game. (note the different outfits in each picture) This game is now put on hold as we continue to do loads and loads of laundry in attempts to get our house back into pre-flu condition.

Ready, Set, Go?

Ms. Margot is getting pretty comfortable rolling around on her tummy. I think she's going to be showing us her moves sooner than later. Watch out Elsie, it won't be long before Margot will be able to chase you when you take a toy away from her. I'm sure watching Elsie's reaction to this (she is a drama queen - I predict tears and more tears the first time Margot chases her) will almost be as funny as Margot pulling Elsie's hair. These kids are so entertaining.

Toddler Talk

I know I'm not the first mom to be entertained by the random things her toddler says, but I thought I'd share a few of our favorite Elsie thoughts as of late.
  • As Elsie is dumping her cereal on the kitchen floor she says, "Dad, I'm feeding the birds."
  • "Mom, Dad cut the fingernails on my toes."
  • "I'm a parent. I chew gum." (I like this one because of all the things she could have said a parent does chewing gum is the most impressive to her)

Here's a few pictures of the little chatterbox...

Elsie saying something very important.
