- Elsie playing peek-a-boo with Margot, which of course Margot finds hilarious.
- When Margot starts crying Elsie says, "It's OK sister, I'd love to help you!" as she shoves a nuk into Margot's mouth.
- Margot pulling Elsie's hair the way only a 5-month old testing out her new ability to grab can. Let's just say Elsie was NOT happy and I found the situation a little too funny :)
- I love how many pictures we have of Margot looking at Elsie. It's almost impossible right now to get a photo of both girls looking at the camera because Margot is so in awe of her big sister.

Sisters
Let the sister stories begin! I think the sister relationship is one of the best ones you can have. The ups, downs, drama, fights, and tears you get to share with your female sibling are something special. I love being and having a sister and am excited to watch Elsie and Margot figure out their sisterhood. Here's a few of my favorite recent E&M sister moments...

I'm Five Months Old!
Hi! It's Margot doing the latest blog entry. My mom talks about Elsie way too much on this thing, so I'm taking over for today. Yes, it's true, I'm five months old today and I'm the cutest baby ever. So here's the latest dish on me...I'm enjoying rice cereal, apple sauce, pees and sweet potatoes. I love to attack the spoon and make a big mess. I can roll over from my tummy to back and back to tummy but only when I want to which isn't very often. I LOVE my toes! They taste great and are always around for me to play with. When I'm not eating, sleeping or sucking on my toes I enjoy a good game of peek-a-boo and of course watching Elsie. She is so interesting!

A New Year Tradition
One of the things I love about being a family is starting new traditions. Here’s my latest…take a picture each New Years with our family holding onto numbers for the year. Now the tricky part will be to remember to do this next year. Here's our resolutions for 2010:
Margot – To sleep through the night. I know my mom would really appreciate this and maybe she would decrease her coffee consumption.
Elsie – To find a new outlet for my anger. Currently I throw things, which I know makes my mom secretly laugh, but she says throwing things is not a good way to deal with my feelings.
Sören – To delegate more work
Anne – In response to Sören’s resolution, I resolve to say no when people ask me to do things I don’t have time to do.

Holiday Baking
Work Out
Margot is 4 Months Old!
Well folks, here's the current stats on Margot. For those familiar with baby stuff at four months the baby goes in for shots and the doctor lets you know how big and in what percentile your child falls into. These numbers give parents something to talk about and compare with each other's children. So, drumroll please....Margot weighs 14 pounds 6 ounces (80th percentile) and her length is 25 1/2 inches (90 percentile) Yes, she is a tall drink of water.
To me, the BIG news is that Margot is a happy, fun baby. She smiles, giggles, gurggles, and loves bouncing in her jumperoo.
Here's a picture of Margot being attacked by a mean couch on Thanksgiving.

Elsie and Margot Update
Here's the latest dish on the Erickson girls...
Margot has found her hands and fingers and spends most of her waking time enjoying them, which results in lots of drool and sometimes even gagging herself. I guess she hasn’t picked up on the cause and effect of this situation.
I think she also feels pretty sassy to be able to sit up in her chair and just looks too cute. Also, Sören figured out that you can use the letters in Margot’s name to make a new name: Mr. Goat, which will now be her alias.
Elsie continues to take really great care of all her dolls. Here’s a picture of Elsie’s daycare center. This is how she starts most mornings: Rounding up all the babies, feeding them, and putting them down for naps. Hmmm…sounds a lot like my mornings!
